The vuvuzela days...

We’ve got our streets back, the party’s over, there’s not a single vuvuzela to be heard… and life will never be the same again. In the spirit of keeping the memories alive, here are some of our favourite World Cup moments…

We were at the Durbs game & the camera battery had died & we asked this couple to take a photo for us... Anyway we say you could email it to us. His wife or girlfriend takes the photo, he joins in on the photo. I give him my email address not thinking I will ever see the photo ‘cause how many times has someone said “yeh sure I’ll mail it to you :)” But today I actually got the photo from Yandri Hendarta from Indonesia. Can you believe it :)

Mine is when we won Teepak a ticket at the Hyundai fan park to the Semi final in Durban! (Indian/Spanish guy we met that evening!)

Siphiwe Tshabalala's opening goal versus Mexico, Luis Suarez' Bugs Bunny impersonation - mouth stuffed with cotton wool after he took a little scratch.

Standing in the queue to get inside the stadium moments before kickoff with Lucy and Miranda, singing “Make the Circle Bigger”… and we did! The guy in front of us asked if we had the song and when he heard we didn’t he immediately bluetoothed it to us. The spirit of oneness! “We love it! That’s why we make da circle biggah!”

Watching a Netherlands game with a group of Dutch theatre people in a cold, dark bar in Grahamstown, walking the fan walk in Cape Town, watching Italy play from my seat in row 21 (even though they crushed my dreams)… and the woman on e-tv news who celebrated her 100th birthday by blowing a vuvuzela.

If you’ve got any more moments to share, keep them coming!
