A Concept Called Louis

Before he became Strika’s new concept artist and illustrator, Louis Barnard studied Applied Graphic Design and did his Masters in Visual Art (publishing a children’s book at the same time). Then he went to teach English in South Korea, and while there illustrated a comic book for the Department of Education. Now he works on existing Strika titles and has a hand in developing new projects from concept stage to finished product! Welcome on board, Louis!

Behind the lens, behind the scenes

The Weltevreden se Doen en Late photo comic has increased its circulation to further schools and clinics in Western Cape farming communities. The latest story, on road safety awareness, marks the 29th issue of the comic and the introduction of a new creative to the team. Designer Miranda Myburgh brings her photography skills to the project, and handles the design and assembly of the project to completion. Welcome on board, Miranda!
