Supa Tigers' Indian Innings

Strika's cricket comic Supa Tigers is into its 29th issue in Pakistan, and soon the comic will launch in India. As plans got underway for the launch, Lovey Dua flew in from India to consult with the creative team. Part of his time was spent talking characters and cricket with Tigers illustrator Sean Verster.

All the world's a stage...

David Stein, one of the writers on the Strika team, spent a few days in Johannesburg where his one-act stage play Loveness was performed at the SANCTA National Community Theatre Festival. The play picked up a nomination for Best Original Script.

New recruit!

Strika's design department has added a new recruit to its ranks. Abi Maynard has already started working on a number of projects... and found time in between for a quick self-portrait!

Meeting of minds

The illustrators at Strika got to check out some of the work done by Animasia, the Malaysian team working with us on the Supa Strikas animation series. So even though we've got an ocean between us, it's still possible to come together and share ideas.

The teams in South Africa and Malaysia recently completed work on the first episode of the Supa Strikas animation series. The Cape Town crew struck a pose in front of the poster designed by the guys at Animasia, the Malaysian animation studio.
