Heading North...

Strikas headed to Winnipeg to hook up with our friends at Dacapo. Dacapo is doing all the sound production on the Supa Strikas animation series. The main Supa Strikas guys at Dacapo are Clint (who organises everything), Nolan (voice director + voices), Kevin (music + voices) and Jessie (SFX). There are a couple of other cats (and a dog) who hang out there: Olaf (a weird German guy who writes industrial-inflected musicals and gives away his personal belongings), Annalee (aspirant day-time soapie star), Paul (the one guy who does actual work) and Amadeus (the semi-retired, one-eyed guard dog).





We got all the brilliant voice guys and gals through the booth, talked about the series and the roles they were playing and recorded as much as we could. There as some talented folk in that town! When we were finished we drank beer, ate kutchen, talked about how hard it is to get an iPod on the prairies… then I came back to South Africa!! Thanks to everyone at Dacapo for welcoming Strikas in Winnipeg, for making this project a pleasure and for producing brilliant work!
